An athlete’s first question is nearly always the same: when can I go back? The honest answer is that the calendar does not decide it; what the injured area can do decides it. Sport-specific physiotherapy answers that question methodically.
What does the clinic mean by it?
According to the current website, it is recommended whether you train as a hobby or as a way of life, both to prevent injuries and to treat them. The aim is to teach the basics of safe movement and to strengthen the hard-to-reach deep muscles that an average workout barely touches.
The booking page mentions it as part of physiotherapy exercise: the clinic’s equipment allows everything from spine and joint rehabilitation exercises to sport-specific training.
How is it different from general physiotherapy?
The end point is not a pain-free weekday but the load of your discipline. For a runner the measure is how the foot meets the ground, for a ball player the change of direction, for a swimmer the repeated work of the shoulder. The plan works on the upper levels of the MozgásPiramis: stability, movement control, then a gradual return.
Who can you book with?
According to the physiotherapists’ profiles:
- Forsthoffer Réka: sport-specific physiotherapy;
- Karda Norbert: treatment of sports injuries, sport-specific training;
- Mészáros Myrtill: sport-specific training;
- Deák Georgina: rehabilitation of sports injuries.
All four are introduced on the team page.
How do you book it?
The booking system has no separate line for this service. If you have not been to the clinic before, you begin with a first assessment; your therapist tells you how to book the later sessions. A 50-minute exercise session costs HUF 22,990; the exact fee is for the clinic to confirm.
What should you bring?
Besides your reports, say what you play, how many times a week, and what your next goal is (a race, a hike, the start of the season). The plan is fitted to this.
Returning after an operation
If your injury needed surgery, the process is longer. Its steps are shown in the article on rehabilitation after surgery. For off-season work that builds endurance, Medical Fitness may also be an option.
