At MozgásKlinika Újbuda the first appointment is always a first assessment. It lasts one hour, costs HUF 24,990, and is more than a conversation: according to the clinic’s booking page, treatment starts at this same appointment.

Why start with an examination?

The booking policy is clear: the examination is required even if you have been seen elsewhere and arrive with reports. There is a practical reason. The physiotherapist uses their own tests to find where the pain comes from and builds the treatment plan on those findings. An earlier report helps, but it does not show how you move today.

What fits into 60 minutes?

  1. A conversation. You describe the complaint, how long it has lasted, what makes it worse and what eases it.
  2. A musculoskeletal examination. The therapist uses movement tests and hands-on examination techniques.
  3. A review of your reports. Discharge summaries, MRI or X-ray reports, if you have any.
  4. A treatment plan and advice. You learn which treatment is recommended and what to watch at home.
  5. The first treatment. Manual therapy, exercise therapy or both, depending on the findings.

What to bring

  • earlier reports and discharge summaries related to your complaint;
  • comfortable clothes that let you move freely;
  • the names and doses of any medication you take.

If the problem is your jaw joint

Jaw joint pain or clicking has its own 50-minute examination (HUF 24,990), which can be booked with two physiotherapists, Bak Petra and Mészáros Myrtill. Details are in the article on jaw joint treatment.

What comes after the first visit?
